Clean-up Tips for a Tidy Life

Cleaning up can be annoying and sometimes feels like a waste of time. Save some of the stress with these tips!

As much as we all love to decorate our apartments, at some point, too much is too much. There are two solutions: move, or remove stuff!

In the latter case, one can consider a few tips to cut back on clutter and save space!

Bustle and confusion

Our lives are more and more hectic, which often leads to clutter at home.

Our brain has limited resources to deal with the information it receives. The more we cram into our lives, the harder it is to keep track of our things.

Cleanup provides clarity

To curb again this confusion, we can clean up our spaces. A clean space represents a clear mind. Sometimes taking drastic measures is necessary for a more peaceful home.

Tips for more clarity:

Internal attitude

Keep your goal in mind- you are cleaning for clarity, so be willing to make sacrifices.

Stay strong

Cleaning up is a process. Everything superfluous must go. Be uncompromising. If you don't use something, get rid of it. There is only one exception.!

Listening to your heart

Say goodbye to all the things that you haven't used in a year. The only exceptions are things that make you happy. If an object brings you joy, keep it. If it doesn't, give it away, even if it was expensive.

Establish order

How many times have you cleaned up a room, just to shift your things somewhere else? Sometimes these problems arise due to lack of storage.

The solution: clean up by category! Start with your clothes and sort out what you don't need. Then move on to books, decorations etc. Keep in mind that you don't have to keep every momento.

Set goals

You do not have to do everything at once. It's totally fine to move step by step. One goal might be, for example, to conquer one thing a day.

Find order

Once you've cleared everything out, make a new plan. Commit to keeping things clean.

Conscious shopping

After you have cleaned your apartment, you should think about shopping carefully. Buy only products that you really need and make you happy. Make sure you are mindful of what you buy, otherwise you'll run out of space again.

Keep things where they belong

Make sure that everything has a place, and keep them in it!

Why?

The reward for consistent decluttering is this: whatever remains is deliberate. Fewer items means less distraction and more clarity.

What are you waiting for? Clean up your life and remember: a clean space reflects a clear mind!
