The Hero blanket has been a part of the Zoeppritz catalogue since 1828.
The blanket is made of a luxurious mixture of 95% Merino wool and 5% cashmere. Wonderfully soft and cuddly, this blanket is a timeless home accessory.
The history of the Hero Blanket:
Early 20th century, Zoeppritz designed these blankets exclusively for the Graf Zeppelin (LZ 127) blimp. While the blimp was crossing the Atlantic, it came under strong winds and part of its outer wall was damaged. Several LZ 127 blankets were used as a replacement wall, saving many lives. The historic double-faced blanket has been modernized and reissued.
