A subtle opening in the base regulates airflow by supplying a constant flow of oxygen from below, allowing the wood to burn efficiently while reducing smoke. When used outdoors, the untreated steel gradually develops a distinctive rust patina. This natural protective layer shields the metal from deeper corrosion and gives it a warm, characterful appearance.

Usage tip:

• For a low-smoke and even flame, use well-dried beech or oak wood.
• To speed up the natural oxidation process, the bowl can be moistened regularly with a diluted saltwater solution, helping the reddish-brown protective layer to form more quickly.

Important notes:

• Unpack the product immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from collecting between the packaging and the product, which may cause uneven rust patches.
• Warning: the steel fire bowls will rust over time. This is expected, as the thick material does not easily rust through.
• Place the fire bowl on a firm, heat-resistant and level surface.
• During the rusting process, rusty water may drip from the product.
• Use near coastal areas within a 2 km radius is not recommended.
• The warranty becomes void if the material is drilled, sanded or modified in any way not specified.
• Clean the product once a year by rinsing off coarse dirt with water.
