The Beadwork Edition from Sonnenglas® combines artistic tradition with modern, environmentally friendly design. The handmade bead handle was delicately crafted by Maxwell, a talented artist from South Africa. Its colourful patterns, inspired by the rich culture of beadwork, make each lantern a unique piece.

What makes the Sonnenglas® so special?

It is a sustainable light source that also impresses with its delightful design and enriches every garden and balcony! The solar module stores energy during the day, which is then released again at night in the form of light. The solar module also works without the glass and, thanks to its small size, fits in any rucksack or trouser pocket so that you are provided with light when you are out and about - ideal for camping too! This not only provides light and a stylish design accent, but also reduces your ecological footprint.

This is how it works:

• Place the Sonnenglas® or just the sun module in a bright place with direct sunlight.
• When the Sonnenglas® is charged, you can switch it on using the magnetic switch.
• Fill the glass with flowers, sand or shells - let your imagination run wild!
• The sun module can also be charged via USB-C, the cable is not included in the scope of delivery.

The social aspect:

Since 2011, the solar lights have been manufactured by Suntoy in South Africa using manual labour. This has created new jobs, 75% of which are held by women. The workers are paid fairly, the starting salary is more than 50% above the local minimum wage and the standard working time of 40 hours is also adhered to.
